Lets face it.
What is the fun going to fantastic charming places when everything is closed – like an abandoned fairground with no people, no sounds, no fragrances, no lights – NOTHING.
That’s how Lisbon has been for the last many weeks: Depressing.
That has finally changed! Like the rest of Lisbon Graça is finally returning to life after Covid 🙂
Yesterday – when I went shopping I couldn’t help it, ‘played tourist’ and took a lot of snapshots of our small oasis.
You can say a lot of negative things about the previous months lockdown.
But as you say: Every cloud has a silver lining.
From a tourist point of view, this post-Covid period may be the best time ever to experience this wonderful city. Especially here in Graça. For the maybe the last time ever its possible to experience this lively and cosy part of town as it was before hype started….
Until tourism is back at it’s pre Covid Level – you’ll have the neighborhood to yourself… together with all the locals of course.
Europe’s best and most sunny beaches are very close by. The situation is the same here – for the next many months you’ll have them to yourself.
So no reason to cross the world if you’re looking for Paradise with powder sand, seafood, sun and crystal clear water.
Will blog about that very soon.
