These days we take our own medicine and play tourist in our own town.
Thomas just spend 3 hours with his grandson at a completely empty Castello St George, two days ago we went to the beach for a swim and before the end of the week we will have visited Jeronimos Monastery for the first time ever and return to Tings with the tram. We never do that because of the massive crowds of tourists
But the the best reasons are the prices at this time of the year. Flight tickets and accomodation are so cheap that at least a city break is something most people can afford. At least for a weekend – and Lisbon is perfect for that.
