Tings is a Non-Smoking hotel!
Of course the cigarettes are as unhealthy and unnecessary as they would be anywhere else. And they're not free, either, just cheaper. So if you buy them, you're still throwing away your money, as well as your youth and beauty. Plus you've proved yourself dumber than you thought you were into the so-called bargain.
A few days ago we got a really bad review.
“I actually liked this place, except for one thing, the pervasive cigarette smoke” Thianshanski started the review he posted on TripAdvisor a few days ago.
He liked the hotel, the room, staff, the breakfast, WiFi, the location… actually everything. So we’re pretty sure he would have given us a Excellent review, if it wasn’t for the smoke from peoples cigarettes, just outside his door. He stayed in one of our garden rooms.
Our guests care about their well-being & their environment. They are interested in healthy food, yoga, meditation, mindfulness etc. And – except for an occasional joint – they are non-smokers. And stay in Non-Smoking places – just like we do ourselves.
Cigarettes are unacceptable! The bad review is 100 % our stupid mistake which we regret a lot – especially with all the kids staying with us.
So from today Tings Lisbon is of course a non-smoking place – including our outdoor areas!
If you can’t live without a cigarette, we recommend you to enjoy your addiction with the magnificent view from Lisbon’s best viewpoint – our Miradouro da Senhora do Monte just outside our door 🙂

Bottom line, they should ban smoking in the garden, and this place, would greatly improve in my estimation.
